It occurs to me that punters may be quite drunk by the time I go on in the second half of the second show. I have therefore created a list of

Lambchop's Rules for Enjoying Her Work

1. Heckling is forbidden. I will cut you.
2. If you MUST make verbal outbursts, please refrain from the following:
"Show us your tits!" (Udderly lacking originality)
"Take it off!" (There may be some meta-stripping involved, but no major skin. Don't worry, it's the London Burlesque Festival... someone is sure to take it off... have you SEEN the logo?)
"Baaaahh!" (The sheer obviousness renders it unacceptable.)

3. Please discontinue your loud conversation with your neighbor about whether or not you will catch the last tube until I have finished. (You won't, by the way.)

4. Do NOT attempt to mount the lamb. She knows tai chi, and will kick your arse... very slowly.

Ok, minions, you called my bluff. I wasn't really going to hang myself from the Christmas tree... after all, there's so much to live for! For example:

The color of the sky at twilight.

I fully intended to propose marriage, or at least civil union, or at least that I have his babies via artificial insemination. Unfortunately this little lamb was so starstruck upon meeting her hero, all she managed was some maniacal sycophantic laughter, and a quick plug for her cabaret number devoted to Fry himself.

After my turn was over, and I had to let the sizable queue of other Fry aficionados have their turn to worship, I hid behind a book display and gazed at him as if he were a zoo animal for quite some time. I'd still be there, frozen in ecstasy, if my colleague hadn't politely suggested that perhaps I had better move on or risk being thought strange.

It was magical.

Hello devoted Kebabertons! I just returned from Edinburgh after playing a week at Sideshow, as well as a great night at the gorgeous Bongo Club. It was fabulous to perform with such talented folks, everyone from Lady Carol & Kitten on the Keys, to the incomparable Scales of the Unexpected (I nearly wet my knickers!), Chrysalis, and many more. The Fringe is pretty darn intense, so I need a little nap time... about a week should suffice, which is perfect because that's about how long before I premiere a NEW PIECE at Duckie, at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on Saturday the 16th of August. Doors are at 9:00 and I shimmy onstage around 11:30. There will be Fry. Oh yes.
